If there’s one thing that I can tell you from years of going camping and spending time in the outdoors, it’s that sitting on rocks and fallen logs is not a comfortable way to spend an evening. Even if everything else is great – cool weather, roaring campfire, great friends – having to sit for several hours on a rock that you found in the woods is not a pleasant way to spend your time when you’re on a camping trip. I think that anyone who’s ever been on a camping trip would agree with me.
What’s the solution? Bring along a couple of camping chairs the next time you head out into the woods. A camping chair is by far the most comfortable way to spend an evening in front of your campfire, and it won’t leave you too sore to move the next morning. You can find a camp chair to work for just about any situation, and you won’t break the bank buying them either. Folding camping chairs also make mealtime a lot easier as well. If you’ve ever tried to balance a plate of food and your drink while sitting on a log, you know easy it is to spill everything into the dirt. Nearly all camp chairs have a built-in cup holder, in addition to their natural sturdiness and stability, which makes eating your dinner much less of a precarious situation.

If you are a backpacker and like to hike for a ways before you start looking for a spot to camp, you’ll definitely want one or two lightweight camping chairs. There’s nothing worse then carrying too much gear on a long hike! On the other hand, if you like to camp near your car or RV, then a couple of heavy duty camping chairs might be what you’re looking for.
If you aren’t going on a camping trip but are still looking for some outdoor seating possibilities, then some folding chairs might work well for you.
